Ben’s Mango-Strawberry Smoothie

Ben isn’t much of a morning person, so we do smoothies on the way to school. I blend it up and then pour it into a Mason jar with one of these awesome lids.

He likes his smoothie heavy on the mango, and I add in almonds for some healthy fat. Don’t be weirded out by the egg white texture when you pour it in—it blends up smoothly and adds a bunch of protein.

Ingredients

  • 120 grams frozen mango chunks
  • 35 grams frozen strawberries
  • 10 grams blanched almonds
  • 14 grams honey
  • 150 grams pasteurized egg whites
  • 71 grams cold water

Instructions

  1. Throw everything into a high-powered blender and work your way up to high speed. Blend away until it's smooth.
